New Delhi, August 23, 2026 — The Indo-Belgian-Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce & Industry (IBLCCI) has extended its congratulations to Mr. Mukesh Malhotra, the Chamber’s Immediate Past President and a sitting member of its Governing Council, on being conferred the distinguished title of “Officer of the Order of the Crown” by Royal decree of His Majesty Philippe, King of the Belgians.

The honour was formally presented at a reception held at the Embassy of Belgium in New Delhi, where H.E. Mr. Didier Vanderhasselt, Ambassador of Belgium to India, personally decorated Mr. Malhotra with the medal.
The Order of the Crown is one of Belgium’s principal national honours, traditionally awarded in recognition of exceptional service to the Kingdom in fields spanning commerce, diplomacy, science, and public life. In Mr. Malhotra’s case, the citation recognises his sustained contribution to promoting Belgian business and trade interests in India, and his role in strengthening the wider economic and institutional ties between the two nations.

As Immediate Past President of IBLCCI and a continuing Governing Council member, Mr. Malhotra has been a long-standing figure in bilateral trade advocacy, working to deepen commercial cooperation between Belgian enterprises and Indian industry across sectors.
The IBLCCI, in its message, conveyed its warmest congratulations to Mr. Malhotra and expressed hope for many more such milestones ahead, underscoring the Chamber’s continued commitment to fostering India-Belgium-Luxembourg economic partnership.
The ChangeMakers Magazine joins the business and diplomatic community in celebrating this recognition, which reflects not only individual distinction but also the broader strength of India’s growing trade relationships with European partners.
