India sends second tranche of relief material to flood hit Nepal

India has dispatched the second tranche of the 37.5 tonnes of Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief material, medicines and food packets for Nepal. The humanitarian assistance to the neighbouring nation is being provided after it was hit by flash floods on Wednesday.

In a social media post, External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar informed that the second flight has taken off carrying relief materials. He said, India remains in close and continuous touch with the Nepalese authorities and it will continue to strongly support the ongoing relief efforts. India had yesterday dispatched 10 tonnes of Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief and essential medicines to support the people of Nepal.
