New Delhi: In a memorable and enriching experience, students from various schools under the Bhiwandi Nizampur Municipal Corporation (BNCMC) visited the Dr. Ambedkar International Centre (DAIC) at Janpath, New Delhi, as part of an educational tour to the national capital.

The visit was facilitated with the support of Sai Shetty, Deputy Director, Lok Sabha Secretariat, who accompanied the students to the Centre, offering them a rare and valuable opportunity to engage with one of India’s premier institutions dedicated to the life, thought, and legacy of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar.

The students were warmly welcomed by Colonel Akash Patil, Director, DAIC, who personally received the delegation and took time to interact with the young visitors. He also hosted the students for refreshments, making the visit a warm and memorable one, and used the occasion to speak to them about the ideals of constitutional democracy, social justice, and nation-building that Dr. Ambedkar championed throughout his life.

The students posed for a group photograph beneath the towering bronze statue of Dr. Ambedkar at the Centre, set against the backdrop of a striking mural of the Parliament of India — a fitting symbol connecting the architect of the Constitution to the very institution his vision helped shape.

The visit is being seen as a significant step in exposing students from Bhiwandi to the institutions and history of the national capital, fostering civic awareness and constitutional consciousness among the younger generation.

Speaking on the occasion, organisers extended their gratitude to Mr. Anmol Sagar, IAS, Municipal Commissioner, Bhiwandi Nizampur Municipal Corporation, for his initiative and support in arranging the Delhi visit for the students, calling it a gesture that would leave a lasting impression on the young minds from Bhiwandi.
