Riyadh, Saudi Arabia — The Embassy of India in Riyadh hosted a farewell for Deputy Chief of Mission Sri Abu Mathen George, who departs the Kingdom to take up his next diplomatic assignment.
During his tenure, Sri George served as a key pillar of the Mission’s leadership, working closely with the Ambassador on matters of bilateral engagement between India and Saudi Arabia, while also remaining closely engaged with the welfare and concerns of the Indian community in the Kingdom.
In its farewell message, the Embassy conveyed its best wishes to Sri George for his next posting and extended its gratitude for what it described as his exemplary service — both to the Mission and to the thousands of Indian nationals who call Saudi Arabia home.

The Indian diaspora in Saudi Arabia, among the largest overseas Indian communities in the world, has long relied on the Embassy’s diplomatic and consular leadership to navigate matters ranging from labour welfare to community grievances. Officials such as Sri George play a central role in that ongoing relationship.
