Pune: Maharashtra Governor Jishnu Dev Varma presented the Green Crusaders and Achievers Awards to a distinguished array of personalities from diverse walks of life at a felicitation programme held in Pune. The event was jointly organised by the Bhamla Foundation and the Panchshil Foundation, and brought together leaders from public administration, industry, cinema and the arts under one roof to honour individuals recognised for their contributions to environmental stewardship and public achievement.
The programme was attended by Chairman of the Maharashtra Legislative Council Ram Shinde, Minister of Environment, Animal Husbandry and Dairy Development Pankaja Munde, Managing Director of Godrej Industries Nadir Godrej, Chairman of the Bhamla Foundation Asif Bhamla, and Secretary to the Governor Dr Prashant Narnaware.
Among those felicitated on the occasion were industrialist Nadir Godrej, Pune Municipal Commissioner Naval Kishore, Pune Collector Jitendra Dudi, and Ganesh Bidkar, alongside film star Jackie Shroff. Also honoured were President of the Lexicon Group Pankaj Sharma, singer Kanika Kapoor, Additional DGP Yashasvi Yadav, singer Pawandeep Rajan, veteran actor Boman Irani, singer Shaan, actor Rakesh Bedi, and actor-author Rahul Bose.
